MYC Studio Policy
No siblings can be brought to music class unless a special arrangement has been made with me beforehand
For keyboard/piano classes (i.e., Sunshine, Sunbeam and Moonbeam) lesson fees are $115/month. You can pay by cheque, e-transfer (to meaganponmusic@gmail.com), or cash on the first day of the month. A late fee of $5/day will be incurred for fees that are 5 days or more overdue. Registration and materials fee is due upon registering.
For Sunrise classes lesson fees are $850 for 3, 10 block sessions. This includes all teaching fees and materials. You can pay by cheque, e-transfer (to meaganponmusic@gmail.com), or cash. You can choose to pay 5 equal payments of $170 or pay the full amount and save $50.
Parent participation is mandatory for all Music for Young Children classes with the exception of Music Time that is unparented, Moonbeams 2 & 3 where they are partially parented and My Choice and Music Your Best Choice where they are unparented (parents of course are welcome to come at anytime to learn and see what their child is learning).
Communication between you and me is essential! You can always call or text me at (403) 966-2564 and I will return your message. My e-mail address is meaganponmusic@gmail.com and I check it regularly.
Please notify me if your child must miss class. I will email you the homework sheet and update you on what we did in class. There are no lesson fee refunds for missed classes.
Classes which must be cancelled because of inclement weather, teacher illness, etc., will be rescheduled at a time convenient to most students.
Music lessons for Sunrise, Sunshine, Sunbeam and Moonbeam classes are a commitment till May/June. If a student is withdrawn from the program early I require one month's (30 days) notice. Unfortunately, I am not able to refund the registration and materials fee.
In the event of a move, I will ensure you are transferred to another MYC teacher.
If you have any ideas or concerns that you wish to discuss with me, please let's arrange a time outside of class to talk.
Most importantly, your child is important to me. I want them to learn music but more importantly I want them to develop a love for music. I aim to keep in touch with you on a regular basis to monitor your child's progress and to provide encouragement and support along the way.
