The Learning Journey

Each level builds on the last. Most students move through one level per year, advancing at a pace that's right for them.

MYC is a structured music program that grows with your child - from their very first songs at age 2 right through to reading music, playing piano, and performing with confidence at 17. Each level builds on the last, year by year, so your child is always learning at exactly the right pace.

  • Sunrise (Ages 2–5)

    Children and caregivers explore music together through songs, rhythm activities, and early listening skills. The caregiver is an active part of every class.

  • Music Time (Ages 3–5)

    A gentle introduction to music through singing, movement, and listening games. No instruments, no pressure - just building a love of music from the ground up. This class is one that students can attend without a caregiver.

  • Sunshine (Ages 3–5)

    Children begin building real music foundations - steady beat, pitch matching, and early music reading, all through songs, movement, games and rhythm and keyboard friends. Caregiver attends.

  • Sunbeam (Ages 5–7)

    Students begin learning to read music and play piano, with singing, movement, playing instruments and ear training woven through every lesson. Caregiver attends and supports home practice.

  • Moonbeam (Ages 7–9)

    Piano skills, music theory, and sight-reading develop in earnest. Students begin working more independently, with occasional caregiver attendence and support at home.

  • My Choice (Ages 10–12)

    Students work independently, deepening their piano technique, theory knowledge, and musical expression. They begin choosing repertoire that reflects their own interests.

  • Music Your Best Choice (Ages 12–17)

    Advanced musicianship - refined piano technique, theory, composition, and performance. Students at this level are genuinely independent musicians.
